Welcome
Nursery and School Photography in Richmond, south west London
From classrooms to playgrounds—
authentic photography that strengthens your prospectus and connects with families
I Believe in Capturing Connection.
My name is Golriz,
I am a portrait, branding and commercial photographer based in Teddington, London. My photography style is natural and authentic, and I travel across the UK to work with nurseries and schools.
I help nurseries/schools update or build new websites, refresh marketing materials, and create imagery that truly reflects the heart of nursery/school life.
With over 10 years of experience as a family photographer, I have worked with children of all ages and know how to capture those genuine, everyday moments. My background in visual art, marketing, and design has equipped me to guide and advise schools on how photography can best communicate their values and vision—helping prospective parents not only see but truly feel what makes your school special.
We aim is to capture every aspect of your school life, from children in the classroom to every specific activities, staff portraits, and the vibrant moments that happen day to day. Together, we can create a collection of images that showcase your community, your ethos, and the stories that bring your school to life.

How to plan
Your school Photography Day
School days, focus categories, purposes, buildings and classrooms are different.
I work closely with your team to plan a photography day that runs smoothly and reflects your unique setting.
1. Initial Consultation
We’ll discuss your priorities and vision, whether it’s updating your website, Marketing, refreshing your prospectus, or capturing the everyday life of your pupils. Together, we’ll create a shot list to ensure nothing important is missed.
2. Schedule & Coordination
I’ll work with staff to map out a timetable that suits your school day. This could include classroom activities, outdoor play, assemblies, staff portraits, or curriculum highlights.
3. On the Day
I keep the atmosphere relaxed and natural so children feel at ease. I move quietly between activities, capturing genuine moments without disrupting the flow of learning.
We can also plan for some naturally staged photos of the most important activities like science or sports.
4. Staff & Leadership Team
Time is set aside for professional staff portraits or group images, ensuring your whole team is represented.
5. Delivery
After the session, I carefully edit and curate the images, presenting a gallery that can be used across your website, prospectus, marketing, and social media
Tips for a Smooth & Successful Photography Day
Ensure uniforms look smart
Have everyone in the correct uniform, clean and tidy. A unified, polished look gives a strong first impression in promotional and website photos.
Highlight your best facilities & spaces
Think about special areas—sports halls, new kitchens, art studios, playgrounds—and try to include them in action. Planning an activity in those spaces can help bring them to life.
Engage staff in the shoot
Invite teachers and staff to join in with activities. Their involvement adds authenticity and variety, helping capture meaningful interactions, not just posed shots.
Obtain photo permissions in advance
Know which students are okay to be photographed ahead of time. Where possible, seat or group them together to reduce disruption and ensure compliance. Stickers on the uniforms is advised.
Tidy up learning spaces & desks
Clear desktops of bags, bottles, phones, and clutter. A clean, organised environment makes the images feel welcoming and professional.
Allocate sufficient time
Some subjects—like art, PE, cooking—take longer to set up and settle. Allow extra time in the schedule so these activities can be captured mid-action.
Include informal moments
Break times, playground interactions, friends chatting—these candid moments help round out your image library and show what school life truly feels like.
